We’re Jamie and Mel, and we’ll be the two people at your wedding who look like they’re having the best time, because we are. We’ve spent twenty years in professional kitchens, so we know how to read a room, stay calm when the timeline slips and make ourselves useful without making a fuss.
We photograph and film relaxed, documentary-style weddings across North Queensland: Townsville, Magnetic Island, the Whitsundays, Mackay, Cairns, Port Douglas and everywhere in between. No stiff poses, no heavy edits. You get real moments, true to colour, that will still look like your day in thirty years.

How it Works
An engagement session is the easiest way to get comfortable in front of us before the big day. It’s relaxed, short on instructions and long on laughing, with no pressure to know how to pose. We’ll pick a spot that feels like you, whether that’s the beach, the bush, a favourite coffee spot or your own backyard, and let you be yourselves while we follow along.
You’ll walk away with photos of the two of you just being you, and a good idea of how your wedding day will feel. By the time you’re standing at the altar, we’re not strangers. We already know your good side, your inside jokes and how to get you laughing, and that shows in the photos on the day.
Engagement sessions start at $490.

Yes. We’re based in Townsville and mainly shoot from Port Douglas down to Mackay, including Magnetic Island and the Whitsundays.
(Travel fee may apply outside of 150km from Townsville. Wedding requiring plane trips will require coverage for flights)
How many hours of coverage do the starting packages include?
Our starting packages are for half day coverage. This could be anywhere from 3 hours to 6 hours of continuous coverage to photograph the memories that mean the most. From prep to family photos, or Ceremony through to first dance.
If you want more, full-day coverage and extras can be added.
Can we add an album?
Yes. Our heirloom albums start from $950, and they’re printed and bound to be passed down. We can build one from your photos after the day.
What if our timeline changes on the day?
It happens at almost every wedding, and it’s fine. Twenty years in professional kitchens taught us to stay calm when things slip, and five years in the business have allowed us to adjust on the fly and keep going without making a fuss. We’re also happy to help you plan a timeline beforehand so there’s less to shuffle.
How long until we get our photos and film?
Our general turnaround for Wedding Photos and Films are between 8 - 12 weeks, 10 - 16 weeks in our busier seasons. But don't worry, we won't leave you high and dry without any photos of your day. We backup and upload your photos before we even leave your wedding to provide you with a sneak peek the following day!
What’s the difference between Photo or Film, Hybrid and Photo & Film
Photo or Film means we cover your day in the format you choose.
Hybrid means we both shoot photo and film, and we build a highlight film of your day.
Photo & Film means we have a dedicated person on each, so nothing gets squeezed.

How do we book, and how far ahead should we book?
Send us a message through the form below with your date and what you’ve got planned. We’ll reply within 24 hours. We will then jump on a chat, discuss your vision and how we can photograph your memories. From there we send through your online booking proposal to secure your date with a signed contract and small retainer.
Once you secure your venue is the best time to book. Date, Location, Memories should be your first 3 to secure for your wedding and our clients generally book atleast 12 months out.
Do we need to engage with a wedding package to book an engagement session?
Absolutely not.
If you want to just show off your love with the other half you can absolutely book an engagement session without booking a wedding. It's a great way to celebrate your connection, and even if you don't book us as your Wedding Photographers you still get used to the camera while also gaining some pics for the Save the Dates and Invites.
Where do you shoot engagement sessions?
Anywhere that feels like you or means something to your relationship: the beach, the bush, a favourite coffee spot or your own backyard. We’ll help you choose a spot that fits the real you, not the pinterest version.
What should we wear for our engagement session?
Something you feel comfortable in and feels like you. In saying that, avoid bright colours to avoid colour casting and avoid any logos or patterns that distract from what we are truly here for.
